New Opportunities for Athletes
AthleteCon 3.0 brought together some of the most driven college and high school athletes in the country and HonorDRM was there for every moment of it!
Held in Las Vegas, Nevada, AthleteCon 3.0 is where the next generation of sports stars connect with brands, industry leaders, and the tools they need to build lasting careers on and off the field. HonorDRM set up shop at the event to meet athletes where they are: early in their careers, hungry to grow, and ready to take control of their futures.
A Sneak Peek at Something Big
At our booth, athletes got an exclusive early look at the HonorDRM mobile app before its official launch. The response was electric. Athletes, parents, brands, and college sports insiders lined up for hands-on demos, eager to see what managing and monetizing their data could actually look like in practice.
The HonorDRM app gives athletes a single, secure place to manage their most valuable asset: their performance data. Health records, training logs, fitness metrics, biometrics, tracking data - all of it organized, protected, and ready to work for the athlete. From there, athletes can monetize that data through HonorDRM's marketplace, opening doors to NIL partnerships, team and brand deals, and other opportunities including data to enhance broadcasts, mobile apps, video games, fan engagement content, storytelling, fantasy sports, betting, and other entertainment opportunities.
Why This Matters Now
NIL changed the game. But health and performance data will define the next era of fan engagement, athlete empowerment, and revenue generation.
Too many athletes don't realize that their performance data is already being collected and that without proper management, it can work against them. Poor data stewardship can lead to:
Loss of control over who can collect, access, view, and use athlete data
Unauthorized disclosure or breach of highly sensitive health and performance information
Proprietary roster and athlete information used unethically, improperly, and/or for unfair competitive advantage
Coaching and training staff’s overreaching access to data revealing athlete sexual activity, food and substance consumption, menstrual cycles, and more
Missed opportunities to be recruited and drafted
Reduced playing time
Shortened career lifecycle
Lower contract value
Lost partnership opportunities.
HonorDRM's mission is to flip that script.
At AthleteCon 3.0, our team educated athletes and their families on the importance of owning and protecting their personal health information. We spoke with university athletic department staff about building better data practices that protect athletes at the institutional level and protect universities as well. The conversations were real, the questions were sharp, and the appetite for better solutions was clear.
A Win for Teams, Too
The opportunity doesn't stop with individual athletes. College sports teams alreadt harness athlete performance data to deepen fan engagement through social media and pre-game and in-game content, giving fans a richer, more connected experience than ever before. That same data creates greater activation with brand partners, making sponsorships more meaningful and measurable. And through data-sharing partnerships with conferences, leagues, broadcasters, and consumer products and services, teams can unlock new revenue streams that benefit the entire athletic program.
HonorDRM makes it possible for athletes and institutions to capture that value together - with the right privacy protections in place from the start.
The Leader in Athlete Performance Data Management & Monetization
HonorDRM is the leader in athlete performance data management and monetization. We believe every athlete - whether they're playing on a Friday night under the lights or competing on national television - deserves to control their story, protect their privacy, and get paid for the value they create.
AthleteCon 3.0 was a reminder of just how much potential is out there waiting to be unlocked. We're proud to be the platform that helps athletes do exactly that.
